Riverview Family Center takes additional steps to safeguard Associates by providing masks

As an essential business and in the interest of public safety, Riverview Family Center Associates wear masks while at work

At Riverview Family Center, our top priority is the health and safety of our Associates and customers. In our continued efforts to keep our Associates and Customers safe, Riverview Family Center will provide Associates (employees) masks for use while at work.

Out of an abundance of caution and in the interest of public safety, we updated our mask guidelines and require all Partners in customer-facing rolesto wear masks at work. Any Partners who are in close contact with others – regardless of their exposure to customers – will also be required to wear masks at work.Additionally, vendors will be required to wear masks inside our stores and other Riverview facilities.

Riverview Family Center strongly encourages our customers to wear masks while in our stores. Our Associates as well as customers must wear a proper face covering to enter our stores in cities where the law requires people to wear masks while in public.

Considered an essential business to the public during this time, all Riverview Associates are provided masks. While we understand the use of masks does not fully prevent the transmission of coronavirus, we are taking every precaution to ensure our Associates feel comfortable while serving our customers.

“As an essential service provider at this time, masks and gloves are just another safeguard we’ve implemented across our stores to protect the health and safety of our employees, customers and communities,” said Fernando Peña.

All Associates who choose these options must continue to follow Riverview Family Center’s strict hygiene and sanitation measures as well as proper social distancing protocols. Associates who wear masks must keep them clean and maintain our high standards for hygiene and sanitation while at work. With demand high, we will provide our Associates with masks as long as we can maintain supply and continue to look for solutions for our customers as well.

Throughout this crisis, Riverview Family Center has implemented a number ofsignificant measures and has worked hard to educate our Associates, with their health and our community in mind. We have also installed plexiglass partitions at all checkstands, adopted crowd control guidelines to manage customer traffic, and placed floor decals to help identify proper social distance. Additionally, we conduct deep cleaning and sanitizing of stores andhard surfaces as well as fuel stations throughout the day, and utilize contactless home delivery to limit direct interaction. We require our Associates to stay home if they feel ill.

As we continue to monitor the spread of the pandemic, we are following guidance and advice from medical professionals and the CDC to make the best decisions regarding the health and safety of our Associates, customers and the communities we serve.
